BREAST RECONSTRUCTION SPECIFIC BRA’S PROSTHETIC NIPPLES BREAST FILLER PROSTHESIS
Immediately after your breast reconstruction we recommend that you wear a softer, non-underwired post opperative support bra.
A bra should offer 4 dimensional stretch to ensure that your breasts are supported and separated but not pushed into a shape resulting in pressure over the site of surgery or push the implant into an undesired place.
Front fastening bras, after breast surgery, are recommended as it makes putting on/taking off a bra much easier.
LONG TERM ADVICE
Your new breast implants are not as soft and shape forming as natural breast tissue – you will now need bras with the following features for maximum comfort:
- Soft seams
- A wide underband – the band that goes under the cups & around your back
- Deep front & side panels
- Full cups
- Cup separation – the center of the bra should sit flat on your chest
- Fully adjustable straps
- Unmolded cups – avoid defined & immovable cups
- Form-taking fabric that will take on the shape of your new breasts, rather than forcing them into a particular shape
If you have never been professionally fitted – now is the time!
MY BREASTS ARE UNEVEN
Should your breasts not be exactly symmetrical or even – a partial or filler breast prosthesis is the solution you have been looking for.
These prostheses can be used to create symmetry between your breasts. The filler fits neatly into one of our pocketed bras that hold the filler prosthesis in place.
